
Wendy (Durst) Haynes holds a Masters in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley, focusing her education and career on nonprofit management and youth development. She started her career with Seneca Family of Agencies in the Bay Area before helping lead the growth of the nonprofit to Washington state. At Seneca, Wendy spent more than a decade in direct service, management and leadership roles, serving youth and families who displayed tremendous resiliency while facing complex stressors such as trauma and poverty.
Wendy then transitioned to working in philanthropy, providing operational leadership for foundations and nonprofit projects set up by professional athletes, celebrities, and other elite professionals to leverage their unique talents, expertise, and resources to address community challenges. With this work, she developed a passion for using her nonprofit experience to partner with people from diverse industries and backgrounds to implement innovative strategies for social change.
