On the first day, our students learned what role a talent agency plays in Hollywood, the different departments of an agency, the stories of each agent, and why they love their work. This gave the foundation for a deeper dive into pitching fundamentals for the second day. Our filmmakers were given tips from Paradigm Talent and Literary Agents on public speaking and getting to the core of a story. The three-day program concluded with students sharing their first pitches and getting feedback from Paradigm agents. Fourteen members from Paradigm Talent Agency joined our students, including talent and literary agents Ryan Theobalt, Matthew Kaplan, Irene Cabrera, Mary Izzo, Chris and Phoebe Schmidt, Sam Fischer, Melisa Baloglu, Brad Pankosky, Rachel Altman, assistant Elizabeth DeMarco, business affairs administer Eric Naessig, and talent coordinators Matthew Nutty and Anthony Polito.
Thank you to our partners at Paradigm Talent Agency for sharing your knowledge, passion, and experience with our students! We look forward to our students applying what they learned with Paradigm in their pitches for this summer and their careers moving forward.
