On Sunday, December 8, 2024, we will recognize the hard work and achievements of our students and volunteers at our annual Screening & Awards Ceremony! This event is attended by our students, their families, and special industry guests. This year’s event is being hosted by Moriah Brown (Actress, “The Six Triple Eight,” “Power Book: Ghost II”).
This year, 48 students created 9 short films that will premiere at the event, taking place Sunday, December 8th, 5:00-8:00 PM PT at the historic Saban Theater in Los Angeles.

OUR HOST
We are excited to have Moriah Brown (Producer, Actress, Model, Creative Director, Singer, and Dancer) joining us this year as our host! Moriah is an Afro-Latina Los Angeles native and a graduate of California State University, Fullerton. Moriah’s works include the Netflix series, “Raising Dion”, Facebook Watch, “Turnt”, and season 3 of Starz “Power Book: Ghost as Keke Travis”. Her most recent project titled “Six Triple Eight” will premiere on Netflix December 20th, 2024, directed and produced by Tyler Perry alongside an amazing cast including Kerry Washington, Oprah Winfrey and many more!

We are thrilled to be honoring Tazbah Chavez with our 2024
Changemaker Award. Tazbah Rose Chavez is a performance
poet turned television writer from the Bishop Paiute Reservation.
SHe is currently Co-Executive Producer/episodic Director on
FX’s “Reservation Dogs.” She has worked on SyFy’s “Resident Alien,” Peacock’s “Rutherford Falls,” directed in HBOMax’s “Sex Lives of College Girls,” and is a Writer/Director on Fox’s
upcoming new series, “Accused.”
